I did cpr last week on a overdose. He looked 100% dead when I arrived. The bus pulled in and I saw him sitting with a crowd of people standing around, it took the bus 15 seconds to stop and another few seconds for the door to open. I looked at the situation and quickly saw a man pouring water in the victim's mouth, I pushed the guy out of the way, and grabbed the victim by his jacket and layed him down as fast as possible, then I got on him and did fast compressions then I gave him a huge breath of air through his nose, covering his mouth. I did fast compressions again. The firefighters arrived and i handed him the narcan someone just handed me, he said to do compressions, then he was feeling for a pulse and told me to stop. He got a pulse and then the narcan was working and he went from grey colored to very pink I knew his blood was returning to normal. I was on the way to the hospital as well for an ultrasound, so I saw him there after. I told him what happened. We shook hands and I found out he has a son. I know without my actions and the emergency response that he was dead or brain damaged severely. Then I went on with my day. I am glad he survived.
