I found Newgrounds by visiting Comedy Central's South Park in 1999, the South Park webpage which had flash games on it for something called Shockwave. I guess I searched on a search engine for flash games

because of that and found Newgrounds. It was old vhs South Park tapes I owned that had advertising for Comedy Central's website. www.comedycentral.com/southpark.
